Begin with listing out the chores you need to get done so that, once they are finished they won’t be able to get in the way of your actually making effective progress on your list. Add Tasks to Your List, Not Goals: Perhaps the reason that most Internet Marketers fail to finish their to-do lists is because they start to feel overwhelmed. What happens is that they’ve added tasks to the lists that feel big enough to be goals on their own. Your to-do list should be full of tasks that help you work toward your main goal. You want to include tasks that are little enough for you to actually accomplish them so that you know definitively that you are actually moving toward your objective. Also, the tasks you put on your list should be specific and not vague. For example, “Get More Leads” is murky at best but “Call 5 Prospects” is easy to do and easily defined.
Effective Preparation: For some to-do lists, success depends upon your ability to do an effective amount of preparation. If you have prepared yourself enough you will see that crossing tasks off of your to-do list is much easier because you’ll know what to do. For example, let’s say that you’ve got 5 articles to write written down as a task on your list. You’ll have a far easier time accomplishing this if you do your research work ahead of time. It truly does! Your battle is already won–if you do enough prep. If there’s anything that deserves your focus as an IMer, it should be getting as much as you can done as quickly as you can and having a great to-do list can really help accomplish that.
